Projects

I have several open projects going as well as new ones in the works.

Trouble is, I’m a slow writer; posts can take anywhere from 5 – 30 hours, and I have to squeeze them in between online classes, job searches, headaches, brain-dead days, and all my other life details.

If you’re wondering what happened with such and such project, or want to find out more about it or how to take part, this list below gives a link and overview of the above mentioned projects and their status

Current:

Voices of shock

Voices of shock is first hand accounts of shock survivors experiences with psychiatry, drugs and electroshock.

Protest Shock

protest shock is a broad project covering various aspects of electroshock, its history, the science, including basic brain facts, the pro and anti-shock players and, most important the experiences that rarely get heard or taken seriously

Shock and Abuse

this project focuses on the abuse many shock survivors face after being disabled by electroshock

Shock Talk with Tenney

This is an ongoing series of podcasts with Psychologist and professor, Lauren Tenney, myself and other shock survivors. Our goal is to increase public awareness and influence change by focusing on the various ways survivors are affected by this destructive, pseudo-scientific treatment, as well as the politics, history, science or lack thereof surrounding electroshock. There are already several episodes that can be found on my site under “Shock Talk with Tenney,” category

Shock and rehab

This is an unimaginably important issue facing shock survivors. Doctors don’t acknowledge damage, so survivors struggle for any sort of testing, recognition and rehabilitative help, which sadly, is virtually non-existent. In this series, I will share what I learned from years of research and my time in occupational therapy as well as give strategies for getting tested, and navigating the world with the unique brain damage caused by electroshock. you can view the introductory post here
